Web studio

Websites built for the way you work.

Custom websites, online stores, plus the knowledge that moves them. I do it all, from build to support.

Build, launch, backup, support.

From a sketch to a live site.

Six basic steps. Start with a sketch, that's the ballpark number. Send me the sketch as a note to start a conversation. Then the quote, after a conversation, is the project's scope.

01Sketch

01 · Sketch

Start here. Create a Sketch with my outline tool by picking a club, a shop, or a local business. Select what you already know the site needs to do for you. The range on the sketch is the ballpark number, a rough idea. Details that are not on this page come up in the conversation afterwards.

No hassle. No commitment. Easy process.

On the finished site

What a proper website does for you.

  1. People can find the business.

The page says what you do, where you do it, and how to get in touch. A search engine reads that as structured language on the page. That is called SEO and AEO.

  2. An AI question can land on the business.

The same page answers in normal sentences: the service, the area, the hours and how to book. When someone asks an AI Agent "Who does this work nearby?", those sentences are what the Agent quotes.

  3. The useful pages are made apparent.

A file called llms.txt sits on the web server and lists those pages. It is a map for the search engines and AI tools that read sites. The map only helps because the pages themselves are clear.

  4. A visit can turn into a call or a booking.

The phone number, the form, and a way to ask for an appointment sit on the page the visitor is already reading. The next step is there, not tucked in a menu.

The aim is more of the right visits, and more of those visits turning into a call, a booking or a sale.

Build A Scope

A rough price range for a club, a shop, or a local business. A starting point for a conversation.

What clients say

In their words.

This is amazingly better site than what we had and a lot easier to manage. We can actually do it ourselves now without having to ask someone else to make changes for us.

Club President, Willow Hole Cowboys

We didn't have a website and had no idea what was involved in building one. Matt walked us through it and got us set up with a site to get us started. We'll definitely be working with him to add on to the site as we grow.

Why work with me

One person, from the page to the server.

You work with the person who designs the site, builds it, and puts it on a server. The tooling around a launch is part of the job, so the site is not handed off as a folder of files.

Who it is for

Small and medium business.

The work is scoped for small and medium businesses: a shop, a club, a local business. My local area is The Woodlands, Spring, and Magnolia, Texas, and I work with businesses anywhere in the US. A public site or a store, built to that size, with support after it is up.

What each kind of site includes: club sites, shop sites, FFL dealer sites, and local business sites.

Background

Technology, and the work around it.

A technology background, and working knowledge of oil and gas, water treatment, firearms dealers and non-profit or sporting clubs. The site can follow how your business actually runs.
